Illustrative serving suggestion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups / 160 g old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1½ cups / 360 ml whole milk, pasteurized
  • 1 cup / 240 g plain whole milk Greek yogurt, pasteurized
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon fine salt
  • 2 cups / about 280 g fresh mixed berries, washed and dried, for serving

Method

  1. Stir oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon and salt together until no dry patches remain.
  2. Divide into four covered containers and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Keep the berries separate until serving.
  3. Stir each portion. Add a small splash of milk if you prefer a looser texture, then top each with ½ cup berries. Serve cold.

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Four covered containers with room to stir

Storage

Keep refrigerated. Proposed quality window: use within 3 days of mixing, following any earlier ingredient date. Add berries at serving time; do not soak the oats at room temperature.

Variations

  • Use diced pear in place of berries.
  • Quick oats produce a softer texture; steel-cut oats need a different method.

Allergens

Milk. Oats can have wheat cross-contact; no gluten-free claim is made. Check the labels of the products you buy and consider cross-contact; this is not an allergen-free promise.
